Park Butte Lookout

You can't ask for a better view from a lookout, and Mout Baker was particularly stunning on this venture. Visiting Park Butte in June, we were met with tons of snow which added to the amazing, other-worldly experience.

Big Mike noticed we were a little late
in the day and offered to give us
a lift (.8mi) up the Easton Glacier Valley.
We couldn't say no! Thanks Mike! Climbing up out of the valley
to the plateaus below the lookout Having made it over a small bergschrund,
we rejoined the regular route
in the plateau region. On the snowless rock, left of center,
perches our goal. A series of plateaus
lead up to the lookout. Looking south at the Twin Sisters Looking southwest at the Twins
